  another great bottle of clos pegase although perhaps not the best example of their chardonnay. previous vintages have offered multi-layered complexity and longer finishes. this bottle may have shown better two years ago and has not aged as well as vintages from the late '90's. nevertheless, the nose is forthcoming with honey and pear notes but does not penetrate the sinuses. nice mouth feel but a little softer than i would have expected. will remain loyal to the brand and look for current vintages. owners of this vintage should drink up.
