Saffron color. Wispy nose of caramel, butterscotch and a hint of grass and baked lemons. Was expecting an oxidized bottle and was pleasantly surprised with a nice,, but over-the-hill chardonnay. An echo of what it had been in its prime, but reminiscent of the tasting at the winery.

My last "find" from a neglected area of the cellar. Excellent Chardonnay taste, a little green fig, and sprout added in as well. Became viscous, in a good way, with age.
