  • Pale scarlet in colour and no more than medium weight. Aroma of strawberries and olives, light weight palate, almost like a mature rose rather than an OP&OH in style. Delicious, and still fresh. A curio and ex-vineyard late 2023 so provenance impeccable 17.5.

  • Back Vintage release available in Canada. Under cork, but this one in perfect shape. This bottle tastes more like 12 or 15 years old than 30. Energetic, bursting cherry fruit, but still with that streak of earth that marks it as Hunter. Aromatics really bursting out. Has relaxed perfectly; these wines are really tightly wound when young. Good acidity and grip on the finish dissipates fairly quickly - no rush for good bottles like this one, but most of the flavour is at the front of the mouth which makes me think that many bottles will be at the finish line.
