Excellent wine, served with a casual lunch of broccoli and feta frittata, and pearled couscous salad (with arugula, mint, feta, peas, pickled shallots, toasted pistachios with lemony vinaigrette). On opening the bottle, presented bright, sweet apple on the nose. Medium straw color, medium body. Tasted apple, then after a bit of air, stone fruit, a bit of creaminess yet a finish of good and lingering salinity. More than held its own with pronounced flavors of the main meal, and-surprisingly-even with a variety of spice cookies served afterwards. One of the most enjoyable sauvignon blancs I've had in quite a while. Wish I'd bought a full case rather than just a few bottles.

Medium gold color Medium plus aromas of citrus/pear with green herbs and yellow florals with nice minerality - with time in glass this changes to more of a citrus/ grapefruit and grassy quality - possible very faint oxidative qualities which also resolve with time in glass Medium bodied with palate of citrus/ pear - linear with fairly round edges Medium plus electric acidity with minimal phenolic bitterness and medium alcohol Moderate length driven by acid Overall a SB which seems to run the balance of old school Sancerre and the New World Drink now

Blind tasting Pale gold, filtered with a slight fizz on the glass Aromatics medium to medium + after time in the glass Initially pear and citrus, that later changes to grapefruit, herbs and grass with pyrazines apparent. No new oak. Palate has a medium body. Acid medium later changing to medium + with a clear spiked quality of S. Blanc. Alcohol medium. No phenolics. Initially a lees feel with pear that overtime becomes lemon, grapefruit and peach Finish has a medium + length of fruit and acid. Balanced Dry glass notes of grass and hay I guessed an old world Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre. Seemed a bit ripe in retrospect, but still quite nice. Drink now, not sure what aging will add but has the structure to age if desired

Fresh citrus and grapefruit. Perfect amount of acid to deliver fruit, mouthfeel and finish. Bright fruit with enough complexity and depth to make it satisfying.
