Still very dark and dense blaclish/red colour. Wow! a very complex and gorgeous nose nose- coffee beans, wet summer pavements, hints of warm car tyres, warm tar, blackberries, chocolate, spices. Sweet, structured and harmonious palate with a great balance between tannins and acidity, and lots of fruit: blueberry and briar-berries. Some "in your head" qhalities and good length with wild hedgerow balckberries on the back end. A very pleasant surprise because I feared that I had kept this, my last bottle from several cases, too long. Now I wish I had another case as it is probably the best Zinfandel I have ever drank.
