Light gold in color Tropical fruity nose. Some banana and papaya. Delicious off the nose. Nice acidity. Lots of melon off the first sip. Longish finish. Unctuous and a little waxy. This is fantastic wine for the price.
Miso Sable fish by Britt for dinner.

Anton’s Wine Tasting Notes Winery: Ridge Vineyards Varietal: Grenache Blanc 77%, Picpoul 18%, 5% Roussane Area/Appellation: California, Paso Robles, Adelaida Vineyard Vintage: 2019. Price: $31 Jacob East Kansas Color: yellow straw. Legs: fast Nose:very faint yellow melon, lime, some green apples, green melon, honeydew melon. After two hours nose still very faint. Palate: lime, citrus zest, lemon, saline, green apples, green melon. Finish: More lime, lemon and citrus zest And green melons on the finish that smooth out to a lime curd, very nice. Comments: smooth all the lime/ lemon and other citrus melon’s zest flow very nicely. The acidity is extremely well balanced with the fruit in fact the balance is almost perfect. Pairing Suggestions: Any variety of ethnic food, i.e. Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Moroccan, Lebanese, Mediterranean, just no big spices and a minimum of heat. I had it with garlicky chicken from Meddy’s. Score in terms of Vintage: 90 Score for the Wine: 90 Value for the Money:Very Good Date Tasted: 05/14/2022 Tasted by: ACK

Years ago at a tasting room, this wine was described to me as having a note of Captain Crunch on the nose and palate. That is all I think of now when I drink Grenache Blanc.
Bright acidity, med+ body, and lots of citrus and tropical notes. Enjoyable as an aperitif but suitable to a whole range of food pairings.

We had this with some friends who were Erving about it. Smooth and ripe (but not overripe) fruit flavors. Fun to drink
