Considerably past it's peak, but basically still hanging in there, this what aged Chardonnay can do. Very golden color. Caramel, toffee, ginger and spicy citrus on the nose. Close to full bodied. Mature pineapple, pear and mango. Still enough acid to hold things together. With some air and swirling some more traditional Chardonnay flavors emerge. The very clean and rounded finish has honeyed baked apple with mild citrus.

Rich tropical fruit on the nose: banana, peach, popcorn. The palate has minerality, acidity and green fruit at it's core (melon, apple, mango, quince), with richer flavours on the outskirts (candy banana, popcorn butter, pineapple). The oak is a little clumsy, but the quality of the fruit is fantastic.

Light gold. Some sharpness this time, fruit really receding. Still some honey and almond, still some citrus notes but also an almost bitter almond or a slightly medicinal component. Maybe fading, maybe just a bad phase. Much preferred it when drunk some time ago.

Light but mineral chardonnay. Needed some air in the glass, but then was still a fine wine to drink. Dont hold longer, unlikely to further improve.

Great for what it is. Good value, mild but profound. Good minerality!
