Was concerned at first as on PNP it was very medicinal and off-balance. But it just needed 30 minutes to settle and was in peak form 2 hours later. Medium bodied, earthy but soft finish, no bitterness, red fruit upfront. It was still a tad sweet for my taste but good.

Decanted for one hour. Nose of cherry, earth, spice and anise. Ripe red cherry, earth and spice on the palate. Lingering finish. Medium bodied. Served with peppered venison tenderloin and a Pinot Noir, cherry sauce.
