Dark, fairly bright red. Smells like a sweetish sugo that's heavy on the bell pepper, with some oak seasoning lending a more subtle sweetness, and a notion of sweaty sock. The palate features some nicely coating tannin but also some trace finishing warmth.

Had at Crush 29 in Roseville, CA off the wine list. Good Franc with earthy notes, dirt, a tad of barnyard, gravel, fruit profile was pomegrante, sour cherries, plums, some vegatal characteristics includingsome bell pepper and celery. The complexity here is nice and should hold up for 5 years or so. Medimum long finish.
