Tasted at the winery. Green melon, moving to softer orchard fruit along with floral notes on the nose as it opens up. Close to medium bodied (12.1% ABV) with peach and honey notes upfront, adding more soft, open orchard fruit notes, evolving to straight-up tropical qualities through the middle. The fruit is quite expressive (especially for a 12 year old wine) and shows roundness and full integration. There's enough acidity remaining on the backside to provide a backbone for the fruit and bridge from the mid-body to finish. This is an off-dry style (not "dry" but not a sweet or dessert wine), but at this stage, it is mainly a fruit expression. That said, the fruit does show quite well and show be able to maintain this level for another few years.

Peach and petroleum aromas with a hint of tart apples. The wine has good acidity and a long, smooth finish. It is fruit-forward but not overly sweet, and was a wonderful complement to pork BBQ.

A little sweeter than I was expecting from a semi-dry wine.
