  I absolutely loved this. It didn’t need a lot of time to open up, just an hour or so.
  
  The nose starts a bit reticent but with swirling it reveals tar, roses, pronounced caramel, mint, oregano, licorice and cinnamon candies.
  
  The palate has incredible balance and concentration. Tannins are present but kept in check; I’m a bit surprised given this is 3-4 years ahead of where I’d think they might be. That caramel note comes through strong, personally, I love it. But can see it putting off some purists. 15% alcohol is near imperceptible.
  
  I bought a bunch of these for $99/bottle and I feel 100% vindicated. This can only go up from here.
