To be honest, I prefer to drink those well-stored mature Burgundy rather than those very fresh teeth grippy one, and this one is a very fine example, once again, perfume distinctive nose of white flowers, the nose is on and on, tend to the mineral side, a bit chalky, sheer acidity but not tart, very full, the texture is smooth and very decent, finish is long too! I have to emphasize that there is no creamy, no nutty and no honey flavor which you may often found in the Meursault region, but still a very attractive very nice wine, it can be hold for a couple more years in a damp cold cellar, it's your choice to drink it or to store it. Serious wine making and very fine balance. Certainly vintage 2000 is an exceptionally high quality vintage.

The essence of true white burgundy. Mined, as Hugh Johnson would say (well, he said it of Chablis), from the bowels of the earth. It's difficult to imagine that such flavours could come from a bunch of grapes, not least because fruit seems to be the least of it. Cordite, wet dog, lime, gunflint, smoke, crushed stone, lanolin; this wine could come from no other place on the planet. Lean, complex, long, nervous and no hint of premature oxidation. For sure a premier cru might fill out the richness of the wine but, when you want white burgundy rather than chardonnay, look no further than Monsieur Jobard. Top dog.

Not a formal tasting note but an observation. This is a bit of an unusual Meurseault, not the "rich" wines I am used to, much more clean and "steely". Very nice indeed.

Mineral, defined, persistant and complex. Wonderful nose of a matured Mersault.
