Third bottle from a half case purchased from a reputable German merchant in 2021. At a lovely stage right now, balances freshness and energy with some waxy bottle-age; aromas of flowers and citrus; lovely grapefruit bitters and a salty finish. Drink now - 2029.

Second bottle from a half case purchased from a reputable German merchant in 2021. Tasted two times before, in 2021 and 2022, and in both instances it came across as relatively closed and a bit hard, seeming to need at least 3-4 years to open up and settle down. Judging from this bottle, the development went faster than anticipated, and it is really showing very nicely right now, with a lovely balance between the cool and spicy minerality of the terroir and the ripe citrus fruit (lemon and grapefruit) of the warm vintage. On the first day the angular style of the Weingut is clearly noticeable, but on the second day it starts to develop waxy and honeyed notes, whilst retaining the freshness of its acidity. Good persistence. Drink now and over the next 3-5 years.

Diam 10, 12% ABV. Quite closed at present, but the palpable minerality and terroir expression are convincing, and the producer profile is unmistakable. Needs time. Revisit 2025. Score based on potential.

Fantastisk som vanligt. Denna flaska var mer gyllene i färgen än jag tidigare upplevt för denna årgång. Aningen mer utvecklad i smaken.
Fortfarande grym, men annorlunda.
