Mike and I tasted 1990 Ponnelle Corton Clos Du Roi and 1996 Tollot-Beaut Corton Bressandes paired with Roasted Duck cooked by Alex at Yans. Nose of red cherry, hints of black cherry, sweet and sour fruit, and mocha, same on the palate, slight bitterness on the nose and palate which soon went away, big body, lovely tasting, richer and more flavorful then the Corton Bressandes, and a long, flavorful finish.

At Fleming's for dinner with Mike and Kathy, nose of bacon, sweet and sour fruit, dry forest floor, same on the palate, big body, fairly rich and mouth filling fruit, elegant, fully mature, long, long finish.

Not flawed but basically offering little. Hard to discern pinot noir in the wine. Seems very stemmy to me.
