Promising at first but 2 hrs in fruit felt flat. A little unbalanced and ash-y. Hopefully this is an awkvard phase as the initial charm has receeded. Probably a hold for this until the fruit comes out the other end. Judging by my, very limited, experience with aging Syrah i would guess drink 2026 - .

Beautiful nose. Ill i want from a n Rhone Syrah. Palate is good, perhaps lacking some tension (acid, tannin). A little on the lighter side - V thought it was Pinot Noir. Not a bad guess if you ask me.

This has literally all the hallmarks of old school Syrah at full bore, with a pungent nose of oily bacon fat and oilve brine gradually giving way to dense, ripe (but fresh) blackberry/blueberry fruits. Super giving and rich, but also really elegant and streamlined with lots of clearly delineated complexity. Excellent acidity and salinity with silky tannins gliding all the way down. I could be overrating it a bit, but it's surely in the very highest echelons of syrah for the price; I just can't even imagine how amazing it'll be with some age.

Dark fruit, earth, nice acid. Lighter side of Syrah. Drinking well now with a decant.

Almost black
N: thyme, black tapenade, dark chocolate, black fruit (blackberries and plums), smoky wood, lavender
P: as nose plus cassis, sweet licorice, not that fruity, something bitter like blackened leek, iron minerality, raisin, mint
Medium mouthfeel, fine, sandy tannins, a shortish finish
I would happily buy more of this, even if it’s not a great wine it kept on developping with almost each sip, most enjoyable.
