A substantial Pinot Noir. Raspberries, grape jam. Cherry finish with a thick plum skin bitterness. At a price in tje low $20’s it is graat for a week-night pizza dinner.

I am comparing Pinot Noir with the last Pinot I drank 2 weeks ago, 2019 Domaine Billiard Pere et Fils Hautes-cotes de Beaune. I found the colour to be similar on both wines. I found the bouquet of this Pinot from Chile to being less intense than the one from France. The taste seemed stronger in alcohol. Maybe this one was drier, plus sec en bouche. The French Pinot had a sweetness that appeared and dissappeared just as quickly at the end. I did not taste this sweetness with the Chiliean. I found the French to be more ample, more rounded, more liquorish than the Chiliean. Although this Chillean Pinot was good, and I would buy it again, out of the two, I prefer the 2019 Domaine Billiard Pere et Fils Hautes-cotes de Beaune.
