  PnP, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with youthful aromas of cherry, spice, and banana peal. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium- tannin, medium body, medium intensity, 13.1% abv with flavors of cherry, pomegranate, and spice with a medium- finish. Overall a good wine with excellent balance and average intensity, complexity, and length. An easy drinker with limited aging potential. Drink now or over the next 2-3 years.

  Really nice Pinot for the price. It also appears in recent years Pence has reduced the amount of gaminess in the wine (also maybe the amount of whole cluster?). The fruit here is red and very mellow but nicely accompanied by smoke, stems and some leather tones. Moderate acid but still structured. Likely an early drinker.

  Another consistent bottle. Beautiful fragrant nose of pomegranate and strawberry. Cherry cola, spice box, and some smokiness. A balanced pinot but I think the best is yet to come on this wine. I have a about seven bottles left of a case and hope to have another each four-six months and will post updates on its evolution.
