  The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like fig, raisin, black currant (cassis), blackberry and vanilla. It tastes like fig, raisin, clove, vanilla and pine. The body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

  Pair with braised and roasted meats, reduction sauces, and bold BBQ.

  As others noted a big fruit bomb. I like Halter Ranch's Syrah and CDP but will pass on the Ancestor in the future.
