decanted 30 min; dark ruby red; coffee, dark chocolate, cardamom nose; nice slightly sweet dark cherry flavors with faint spices coming and going over time; light Euro style body with good balance and a med-long finish. Amazingly good for a regular bottling and a reminder of what Napa cab used to be before critics influenced wine makers, and drinkers, to prefer riper, extracted wines.
Brown Bag Wine Dinner at Two Chefs-III(Double Blind); 2/21/2012-2/22/2012: - Purple color with fast forming legs and aromas of black currant and violet. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant and dusty with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a medium finish - Luis' wine, originally bought at ZACHYS(when and by whom??).extraordinarily youthful and fit. Kudos to Luis for his pristine cellar conditions. A historic wine from the days when there were approximately 30 Napa Wineries, and this wine reflected the Quality Level which was globally recognized after The Judgement of Paris when STAGS LEAP and CHATEAU MONTELENA swept the TASTING, LEADING to the explosion of NAPA VALLEY Vineyards and Prices.

May have once been a nice bottle but those days have gone at least 5 years ago in my opinion!
