PnP enjoyed over 2 hours; benefited from 45 minutes of aeration even if it didn't strictly need it. Consistent with my previous bottles (this is 4 of 6 purchased on release): "PnP that showed well for the two days it was open. Not my favorite vintage of this wine, but, still, there's a lot to like. While I do find a common theme among the three I've opened, there have been differences (some subtle, some not so much) which I greatly appreciate. This experience simply reinforces my desire to buy from top producers in most/all vintages, with the expectation that each of the bottles will have a different story to tell. I have two left, and will endeavor to enjoy them in the coming 2-3 years. An absolute joy/delicious and I love the cheeky touch of savory on the final. Thru 2028. Easily recommended

Maybe the fourth or fifth time I’ve had the 2017 vintage and it’s been lovely each time. In the glass wine appears deep ruby with a nearly translucent core. Medium viscosity with slight staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is intense, redolent with dark cherry, Spanish paprika, red flowers, dried herbs and porchini. On the palate, the wine is dry, with almost chewy, sweet tannin (medium++). Acid is medium+. Confirm dark cherry fruit, bergamot, dusty earth and dried herbs. The finish is long, round and savory. Overall, a fresh and juicy example that stays true to its roots.

Delicious full bodied not too tannic. Had with grilled lamb chops marinated with garlic, rosemary, and a little Dijon.
