  • Amici's 2020 Napa County Sauvignon Blanc is comprised entirely of the varietal, with 25% being barrel fermented. Uncorked and poured in this setting, it is a pale yellow/green wine with attractive aromas of pit fruits, elderflower, citrus and pine nuts. Light-bodied, medium in acidity, seamlessly alcoholic (listed as 13.7%) and with minimal detectable wood, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and stays solid on the mid-palate. Although the finish is medium-to-long, it lacks the verve of its 2019 sibling. This wine shows no hint of smoke taint at this early stage, but I cannot guarantee that this will be the case a year from now. As such, I would favor consumption sooner rather than later. Drink now.

  • Decent bottle of Sauvignon. Blanc. Smells of guava, floral, honey dew. Probably made in steel. Long lasting. Lemon peels all day on this, some earthy tones. Great bottle to come home to after a long day of work. Cheers
