  • Not many notes, as it was an add on bottle to a 4-bottle flight. But recall a well structured wine, with ripe fruit (dark cherries), perfectly balanced with firm acidity, and ripe tannins. As noted by another CT'er, like a cross between Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. Drinking great now, but I would expect this wine to further improve as it ages and develops tertiary notes. Hard to source in the US, but would like to purchase additional vintages if I can find them.

  • Initially smells every bit like the massive 15.5% alcohol, but after some swirls sweet spices and dried fruits take over. Awesome fruit sweetness, delicate tannins and somewhat light body with pleasant acidity throughout, almost like a crossover between Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. Great for standalone sipping.
