1845 also indicated. Wide orange rim. Mature, intense, fairly simple fruit showing tar with minor smoke and licorice. I don't know Gaglioppo but this reminds me of Aglianico. It's rich, medium/full and soft in the mouth with no tannin, good structure and slight finishing bitterness. I don't think this is too old but I wouldn't wait.

Orange at the rim. Some of the drying flavors I associate with generalized "old" wine. Still has some red fruit through the entry, but seems on the backside of it's life based on this bottle.
