  Deep, dark, reddish-purple garnet in color bordering on opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe dark fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries, plums & cassis with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, some anise, mint & herbs, spices, minerals, dark cocoa & a hint of vanilla in the background. Full to medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, herbs, earthy, cocoa, minerals & a hint of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but needs & should continue to develop further with additional aging.
