Community Tasting Notes (9) Avg Score: 91.7 points

  • Drinking beautifully with many years to still mature with age. Dark ruby color with nice long finish of berries. This is great now and will only get better over the next 10 years.

  • Deep, dark, reddish-purple garnet in color bordering on opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe dark fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, mint, herbs, spices, minerals, dark cocoa & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Full to medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, herbs, cocoa, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but needs & should continue to develop further with additional aging at which time it may rate even higher (94+). A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec & 5% Petite Verdot.

  • Appearance: Medium ruby
Nose: Medium+ intensity with aromas of blueberry, raspberry, capsicum, violet, and earth
Palate: Medium+ acid and tannin, medium+ body and intensity, 14.5 abv with flavors of blueberry, spice, and capsicum with a long finish.

    Balance: Excellent
    Intensity: Excellent
    Complexity: Excellent
    Length: Outstanding

For my palate this is good to go now, however others may prefer another 2-3 years of evolution. Likely peaking in 3 years and good for 5+ years thereafter.

  • Tight and filled with promise. Rich mouthfeel and fruit that sleeps. Will buy more.
