Good cork. Deep purple - dark and dense. Chocolate and mocha with a hint of cassis. Very blackcurrant on the palate with bold tannins on the finish - the structure is there for a long life I think.

(Tasted at Lilayi Lodge, Zambia) Intense nose with punnets full of blackcurrant, cases and toasty oak notes. Touch of blueberry and sweet spice cake. Entry is medium-bodied with slight lemon-edged acidity and fleshed out with blackcurrant, cayenne spice and bramble. The texture has a blackcurrant skin feel whilst the tannins is finely grained and smooth but, coupled with the acid, gives some linearity. Closes with a slight diesel note and finishes long.

Deep dark purple, completely opaque. Wow, what a gorgeous nose: that is Cab Sauv and nothing else! Full on blackcurrant and cassis, with some cedar underlying. On the palate, there's a spiciness and a decent amount of fine tannins, but the fruit is the defining feature - and its joyous. There's a touch of blackcurrant leaf on the long, lip-smacking finish. This is pure pleasure! And at around £17, it's good value. Cork, 14%.
