Alex's TWS dinner (Noizé, London): Medium red, translucent though not light. Tart on the nose, prickly, tomato leaf, bay, olive. Feels younger than it is, tannins a bit blocky at this stage, probably needs more time. Cranberry on the palate, nicely acidic, and after a while used coffee grounds emerge to leave a slightly bitter finish. Doesn't excite me in the same way as the Volnay '12 served alongside, but in a few years I think the rough edges will have been smoothed away and this will be drinking nicely.

This is a fantastic young wine. Nose leads with an almost liqueur-like black cherry, red apple skin, allspice, and finally a twiggy/wet leaves note. Palate has so much concentration and balance: black cherry, maybe some raspberry with an earthy forest edge, subtle and integrated oak treatment, good acidity. I’m sure this will drink nicely for its entire lifetime, but it’s really asking for 5+ years in the cellar. Lucky you to have a bottle around 2029-2033.

C liked this better than I did. Pretty earthy at first, maybe a little reduction? Left on the counter overnight with the cork out and was much better the next day. Red fruit to start but finished just a little earthy and bitter for me. I'd drink again but not sure I'll seek out.

Barnyard, Soil, and Red Fruits on the Palate - it smells delicious and you can tell that you are in for a very good Pinot Noir. Cherry, Mushrooms, "Classic" Pinot Noir Barnyard and Soil on the palate. There is a nice Salinity to this Wine and there are still a few Unresolved Tannins. 5-6 seconds finish that makes you want to have more.
My favorite Pinot Noir Pairing is fried mushrooms with salt and pepper.

Light ruby colour.
Pronounced aromas of sandal wood, clove, rosemary, fresh dirt, red cherry, red currant, wet gravel.
Pronounced palate.
Medium (+) body, high acidity, medium tannin, medium (+) finish.
