Getting down to my last bottle or so from a case. My notes on this have remained amazingly consistent over time; still drinking really young, crystalline, and focused. Hints of mint and minimal reduction make this (vintage) a bit of an outlier compared to the current signature, but really good nonetheless. A very long life ahead, and wish I had more.

Five and a half years since we last popped this. This is a rich decadent white Burgundy. Really dynamic and well balanced though. Ripe apple, citrus and a touch of oak. The oak seems to be integrating well. The rich texture is offset by good acidity. Nice lingering finish. Terrific Meursault.

Vega Sicilia Unico Dinner with Pablo Alvarez (Asador Bastian - Chicago IL): From magnum. Nutty apple butter with good richness and depth. slightly simple finish when first poured, this expanded as it warmed up and got more air, while always showcasing 2006 vintage ripeness.
