A bit tired and over the hill, but just by a bit. Plenty of interesting things going on in the bouquet. Stone fruit, perfumed flowers, golden apple, beeswax, and some interesting dusty-rock notes I ascribe to minerality. It had somewhat of a rich mouthfeel but there was just enough acidity around the edges to help balance the rich stone fruit and beeswax flavors. A very enjoyable wine.

Deep golden color. Astonishing nose of perfumed flowers, pear and honey. Full bodied white wine. Stands up well to stir fried greens in garlic sauce and a spicy prawn stir fry. The mid palate dazzles with spiced pear, honeysuckle and faint herbal notes. So many layers and levels of complexity. Nice, fresh mouthfeel even though the acidity is low. Great length on this wine. One to ponder for a long time as it lingers in your mouth.
This is the softest Viognier I've ever tasted. If there is residual sugar, it is not apparent here. I love it- lacks the hard, linear elements I find so often with this grape. Highly recommended bottle of wine.

Consumed with friends at a dinner party with a Rhone theme. It went very well with the salad and had one of the best noses of the evening. Other wines included two vintage Champagnes, '95 Beaucastel 1.5l and a 2004 Durand Cornas.
Orange blossom, other floral notes, medium acidity, and a finish that lasted 5 to 15 seconds. Medium to full-bodied.

Still kicking with wonderful fruit and great expression. The sweetness of the wine makes it pair extremely well with robust cheeses.
