  NOSE: cavernous, weathered, black cherry solids. Forthcoming without shouting. Strongly marked with mineral musk and Dutch tobacco. MOUTH: nicely held together. Flexing, fresh red berries. Plentiful, dry, ripe tannins. Muscular fruit acidity. There’s a driblet of mushroom soy sauce that marks it as Basilicata, and Vulture. TIME+DRINKING: an infectious cherry juice reward, always framed and dry with earth dust tannin. The finish is adorably dabbed with shoe polish. Repetition draws out its aristocratic charm—so confident and measured. It never needs to search for its voice.
