  • Drank w Ben and Mantre. From memory. Decanted for 1h then back into bottle. Similar to last bottle. Red and black cherries with a hint of bubblegum, bark, herbs and nice minerals. Nice snow on a medium body. Drinking really well and I guess that I couldn't last off my last bottle.

  • Synthetic nomacorc closure. Decanted. Now 2.5h after decant. Aromas of red and black cherries, just ripe blackberries, herbs, and minerals. Palate w nice blackberries first then crushed red and black cherries, a hint of bubblegum, lovely minerals, herbs and some bark. Excellent acids. Mild tannins on a medium body. Nice lingering finish of fruit, green herbs and minerals with a some lingering tingling on the tongue. Excellent concentration of flavors wo weight. Young, complex but also a lot underneath. Open my next bottle in at least 5 yrs. My only hesitation with aging is the synthetic closure which I need to do some more research on nomacorcs. But this is drinking really nicely now.

  • Synthetic cork closure. NOSE: saturated with berry juice, staining and glycerin. At the same time, it’s measured, aspirated, and mineral. Iris. Magnolia. MOUTH: substantial texture—curiously spanned with sticky-ripe black berries and savory, herbal pollen (these are radial, gold, and mixed with menthol.) These crossed impulses negotiate the middle of the drink while bedrock mineral encroaches. The tannins are submerged, and determined in resolve. By the time the event finishes, I find an intensely mineral sensation of basalt. It’s a bitter balance to the accumulating berry acids. The texture is a fine, glossy fabric, stitched with raw, grape details—musk, prune pit, almond meal, menthol syrup, and browsing hare bone. Salty, bittersweet, grape jam-juice, lofted by landscape. Damn good. After 24 hours I found the last few oz. did not gain in quality.

  • My notes were consistent to allred. We found this to be quite ripe but delicious.

  • Opened and allowed to breathe in bottle a couple of hours before a simple supper of roast chicken, potatoes and beans. Aromas of red berry, cranberry and wild strawberry. Red berry fruit and spice on the palate. With additional air this becomes a bit sappy and develops an intriguing greenish quality to go along with brambly fruit. Excellent. Initially this was Domino’s favorite of the three.
