  beautiful nose, showing a little development, but surprisingly fresh and airy for a 2018... aromas of elderflower, pink grapefruit, lemon candy and pith, mangosteen, a little caramel and broth, a little mint and herbs too... full but far from heavy, rather light somehow, showing some overripe character on the finish, but there's gorgeous chalky grip and fresh citrus to balance it out, the interplay of thick texture with lively acid is so engaging, this is fun stuff, as even the most serious Sancerre can be. Despite the very warm weather, this is super classic Sancerre, it transcends the vintage... bravo!
