The alcohol is listed at 14.5. Upon opening, it tastes, perhaps a degree higher than that. High-pitched with notes of Juniper, Buddha’s hand, fine minerals, and just a hint of straw. It is not too tropical, but initially the alcohol is offputting. After a couple hours open and nearing the end of the bottle, this fades dramatically. I would certainly decant given the option next time. With a bit of error, it gains flesh and maintains a delicate profile. I might try a different vintage next time.

Domaine Vacheron Dinner (Swift & Sons, Chicago IL): In horizontal flight of their most "limestone" wines. Bright apple and pear with mostly ripe features, but some tart notes as well. So energetic from middle forward. Much better vs when first tasted a year ago.

Meals in France; 4/30/2022-5/6/2022 (France): Plenty of brignt and energetic apple throughout with a hint of lemon. Good+ breadth and length while already fairly rounded and open.

Gorgeous. Classic Sancerre but on the softer side so already drinking really well.
