This Rosso is very savory and full of dried herbs. Both flavors I enjoy in a wine and were much more pronounced than a year ago when I last drank this wine. cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, earthy. Excellent wine club offering being the least expensive of the 6 wines received.

Wow things change. I recognize I’ve already written too many notes on this winery I visited in Montalcino summer of ‘22 but this note equally recognizes that when facts change so may one’s opinion. Took a glass via Coravin to pair with a quick homemade bolognese but ended up hurrying out the door and leaving the glass out overnight covered by a napkin. The wine tonight (following night) is on another dimension. Nose more open and accessible, although still not exuberant, ripe red cherry, oaky woodpile, vanilla and sweet tobacco. Palate meanwhile is etheral, lithe and fresh. Could be mistaken for a California Pinot. Very well balanced, a hint of grip. I don’t know how long this will last (judging by the the new lightness of touch I think not long) but man this is nice.

Same comment as previous notes. I was hoping for better and had held off on the rating but given the consistency I am going with 88-89 points.
