  Dark reddish garnet with purple tints in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of spice & floral notes of violets & lavender, earthy/dusty notes, loam, truffles, spice notes, mint, pepper, olives, cocoa & a hint of cedar in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, pepper, herbs, mushrooms, minerals & a touch of vanilla/oak. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but has the structure & depth to continue developing with additional aging at which time, it may merit a higher score (95+).
