E1 belated bday celebration at Wimborne. Tasted blind from decanter. Drank in Riedel Pinot Noir stemless. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of dark vegetal herbs, hint of Ling Yang, purple plums, dark red cherries, suave earth, iron, emerging peony flower. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark spices, dark red cherries, sweet dark red and purple plums, suave earth. Long finish with iron notes. Very good quality. Gentle elegantly charming entry and then you feel the Gevrey masculinity to the end. Early days but already showing well with air. I love it.

Very aromatic. Riper fruit compared to its stable mates, so the wine appears a little sweeter and less saline, which is a good thing because a lot of 2020 reds are on the dry side despite the warm vintage. Great wine and worth your attention.

Very young, but tasty, red fruited potential with some stems.

Tuesday Burgundy Cellar Visits - Mugneret-Gibourg, Dujac, Château de la Tour, and Fourrier (Cote d'Or): Tasted at the domaine. Concentration black cherry and plum, showing with meaty and black pepper notes. Excellent balance for such a young wine, with a charming, fresh and persistent finish. Very impressive, 93+ point potential, 2026 forward.
