Chardonnay Round Table with Emile Joubert (Chamonix Wine Estate): (Tasted Blind. Light yellow colour. The aroma reveals an appealing ripeness, underscored by notes of apple and a fleeting hint of dishcloth. An initial touch of sweetness spreads across the palate, followed by traces of graphite geosmin, reminiscent of moss or wet stone. There is also some brief curry leaves notes, adding a touch of exoticism! A light mid-palate with little depth, there is a firmer texture yet pulls up very short on the finish. Made in Amphora.
