  • This red from the Marche benefits a lot from an hour air exposure after opening. That will mellow the strong, even bitter, tannins. Then it reveals dark flower and fruit flavours after the mature black fruit impression in the nose. The fruit is like very dark cherry and blue/black forest berries. They are very mature, but not sweet. Nice balance leaning to acidity and enough complexity with a very lean and dry nature. Quite different from other Italians, even if for me there is a bit of resemblance to dolcetto wines from the north.
