  • Blind aperitif for New World Pinot Noir theme lunch at SSG. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of light garden flowers, green lime, some stony minerals. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity dipping to medium+ when warmer, medium alcohol (12%), medium- body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet floral nectar, light honey melon, citrus green lime, stony mineral. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. Though rather simple and nothing memorable.
Was thinking Pinot Grigio at first, then switched to guessing Aligote.

  • Some serious champagnes: Opened as an aperitif. I guessed Sauvignon Blanc on this based on a friend's mantra that if is not very good, it must be Sauvignon Blanc. Very green, high acid especially on the back end once the fruit faded, not the biggest fan of this.
