Syah/Shiraz Blind Tasting: Thrown into our blind syrah/shiraz tasting for some regional variety. It had low expectations and did not disappoint. However, to its "credit" this wine did beat out (for some) the Vernay Syrah from France, which Moore Brothers sells for $21. Consensus 11th or 12th. The wine had a paste/glue nose and also had some hospital bed notes. It simply tasted as bad, and featured the same chemicals. No finish. Not a good wine.

Smelled like band-aids, tasted like band-aids too. Not a good bottle of wine.
