After drinking an unteresting (to put it gently) Riesling a few hours ago, this juice is like nectar sent by Dionysus directly from Olympus. It's what I like - thick and heavy. Lovely taste full of - watch out - black tea ( completely surprise), tabacco ( nice), black chocolate ( even nicer), but , on other hand, black cherry, plum, blackberry and vanilla ( not too good to me). Spice is everywhere ( cool). Acidity and tannins - amazingly soft for this young wine. Finish - delicious, but too short. Smell? Another nice surprise - black coffee is here. What else? Tabacco and earth ( dusty one). Somewhere in the background - red cherry, anise (?), smoke (?), mentol (?), licorice (?). Third glass and suddenly a lot of nice, sweet red cherry is on the taste! Finish is much longer, but with grippy tannins.

For some time wanted to taste this renowned RdD producer and finally its available locally. Made from 80 year old vines, a blend of 96% Tempranillo, 3% CS, 1% Merlot, aged for 30 months in new FR oak. Complex and rich aroma of toasted cedar, plums, vanilla, licorice, cherries, herbs, cola, exotic spices. Medium body, pronounced oak is evident from entry till lengthy finish. Needs around 4 hours to breathe as at first it seems tight & tannic. Fragrant and spiced with well integrated mid acidity and fine tannins.
