A mostly Jura night: So my experience with the '13 Overnoy a couple of weeks ago was not an outlier. Similar impressions here - pale reddish-pink and cloudy in colour, a natty and slightly carbonic wine. Fresh wild strawberries with good depth and high acidity. Interesting but not my style (and not to mention the price..)

A private dinner (Maison Zugno, Barretaine, France): Terroir argileux du Trias, 100% destemmed, macération semi-carbonique, 27 day cuvaison, no sulfur added, unfiltered. Pale strawberry colour. Lots of carbon dioxide, even after decanting and vigorious swirling. Resolutely natural, but it is clean and precise, absolutely nothing off, bright and fresh, very good aromatic depth, flowers and white nuts, hint of forest floor, unripe strawberries, blackberries and cranberries, lavender, lemon zest, tight and long finish.
