  • Tasted blind. Garnet colored, slightly transparent in the glass. Some cherries and fresh cut flowers on the nose and palate. New oak. Not terribly complex, and also not surprising. Guessed it was barbera and ended up being right. Not a wow wine but not offensive.

  • excellent. hard to think of a better 20 dollar red wine. of course i may have a headache tomorrow, as with all cheap red wines. but for the moment i can drink more than one glass.

for comparison, my local store recommended a similar priced bordeaux, feret-lambert, 2018, and I liked the taster, but I could not drink even a whole glass.
