Ripe dark cherry, blackberries. Sweet fruity core, mild liquorice and spices, vanilla and chocolate, a little brooding. m- acidity, medium tannins, fine grained, m+ body. Good on balance. Could be a good example of Central Otago Pinot Noir.

Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): Slight gamey, red cherry over black hued fruits, sweet spice. Borderline sour, lots of tannic grip that proves chalky and drying but also some red cherry and blackberry. Time should help.
