Chris's Italian Feast (The Quality Chop House): Half bottle, to accompany a chocolate and sesame tart. Sauvignon Blanc 60%, Chardonnay 25%, Gewurztraminer 15%, picked with noble rot and vinified in steel and concrete. Although a good match for the food, I found this on the dry side for a VT wine, somewhat clean and serious, with a strong marmalade note. Glad to have tried, but I think I prefer the opulence of Vin Santo made in the traditional air-dried/barrel-aged style.

Chris's Italian Dinner at QCH (Quality Chop House, Farringdon Road, London): Orange in colour, very sweet - mandarins, glycerol, apricot and some toffee notes. Unfortunately I could not give this more attention as the effluxion of time forced my attention towards how I would get home with trains cancelled or delayed and ubers not responding! The dessert wine seemed perfectly decent.

Rather liked this and a good foil to the 67 Pall Mall “Snickers”
