Quite zippy - the notes below do a great job of summarising this 'old age new age wine'. Jerez is a beautiful area and the sea shell saline bruised apple notes are delicious. I can see how this isn't a wow wine but I still think the QPR is great. 27 quid from shrine to the vine!

Can't quite decide about this one, but have come down on the side of 'mild disappointment '. Saline, crisp, clean and elegant, but lacking in substance, like a good-not-great Muscadet. I didn't find it particularly yeasty or oxidative. Food-friendly but a little boring.

Quite pale in colour. Oxidative nose like a sherry. Overripe and bruised fruit notes on the palate. Saline and mineral. Not my glass of wine I can’t put my finger on it. Tissot’s is in similar vein but much better rendition than this bottle. Purchased £24.50 from The Sourcing Table.

Xiquet w/ PML (Xiquet (Washington DC)): Straight Palomino! Slight coin polish (reduction?). Some Musar wildness - oxidation? tamari? underbrush/earth?. High acid. Nice! Though the nose is a bit weird.

Anniversary Dinner at Demi (Demi, Mpls): Ultra pale gold color. Drank a glass over 20 minutes, from the reserve wine pairing at Demi. Savory, saline, shellac, minerals, refined and quite tasty. 90+ to 91pts.
