  • Tasted this wine at the Walkabout Tasting at Crystal Wines - Valley Point Chilean Extraordinaire.

Ash on the nose followed by ripe cherries and a smooth palate. In the glass, the wine shines bright like a ray of sunshine in early summer, providing good warmth, comfort without the scorching heat and sunburnt.

Keep for the next 3 to 5 years before even thinking about opening the next bottle.

  • Saturated cassis, eucalyptus, boxwood, and smoky mineral nose. Solid, rich, and weighty palate with very good replays and length.

  • What a waste of money! We didn't get much taste even when it finally opened after two hours. Big, but tasted like a generic red. At least I can lay my curiosity about Carmenere to rest, as I did with Malbec. On that basis, I guess it was worth it. We will stay home with CA wines at reasonable prices.

  • LCBO Tasting #1 I went in expecting to be Bombarded by those Chilean and Carmenère (92%) trademarks but the 8% Petit Verdot balanced it out very well.

Lovely soft bell peppers on the nose along with red chilies, and violet. The bell pepper and chili also followed through on the tongue but were subtle just like the nose. Some raspberry, jam, blackberry, and cherry came along for the ride. Medium tannins, acidity, and finish.

This wasn't the best of the tasting, but it's the one I want to dance with.

  • Un très beau mariage entre le végétal (cassis, basilic) et le fruit qui est presque opulent. Des tanins ronds et enveloppant. Bonne longueur, très beau et unique.
