Capanna Brunello Masterclass, Gordon's, Waltham, Mass.: 40% sangiovese, 60% merlot. Barnyard aroma. Lower in acidity than the Rosso di Montalcino, but still high tannin. Flavor of cranberry with some smokiness, light body. Preferred to the more fruit-forward 2018.
