  Pale lemon color. Wow, the aromas are cranking with green apples, white peach, lemon zest, along with freshly cut grass, mint, celery seed, and tones of crushed limestone and sea shells. The palate has a focused, zesty appeal with green apples, lemons, and papaya, along with a bright and sunny mix of sea salt, chalk dust, quinine, and minerals. So stony and bright, with essences of river rocks and citrus zest. Lovely precision in here, and I’d love to see what this does in the cellar over the next five years. From the producer’s best plots at 1,000 feet elevation from pergola and trellis-trained vines.

  Attractive Südtiroler Sauvignon Blanc sourced from the steep slopes (quartz porphyry soils) at the foot of the Schlern massif (municipality of Völs, located about ten kilometers north-east of the city of Bozen). Aged for ten months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks (2/3) and in tonneaux (1/3). Color: pale straw-yellow with some greenish reflections. Bouquet: inviting nose with aromas of elderberry blossom, grapefruit, lemongrass and hints of thyme and white pepper. On the palate: a well-balanced wine plenty of vibrant gooseberry- and citrus fruit, a serious mineral texture and a lively acid structure. Finish: long herbaceous aftertaste with a slight touch of mint. An excellent aperitif wine and a good companion to risotto and fish dishes. Optimal enjoyment: now–2026.
  
  Aantrekkelijke Sauvignon Blanc uit Zuid-Tirol, geteeld op de steile hellingen (kwarts-porfierbodems) aan de voet van het Schlern-massief (gemeente Völs, ongeveer tien kilometer ten noordoosten van de stad Bozen). Rijping: tien maanden ‘sur lie’ in roestvrijstalen tanks (2/3) en in tonneaux (1/3). Kleur: bleek strogeel met wat groene schakeringen. Bouquet: verleidelijke neus met aroma's van vlierbesbloesem, pompelmoes, citroengras en nuances van tijm en witte peper. In de mond: een mooi uitgebalanceerde wijn vol heerlijk stekelbes- en citrusfruit, met een degelijke minerale textuur en een levendige aciditeitsstructuur. Finale: lange kruidige afdronk met een lichte toets van munt. Een uitstekende aperitiefwijn en een goede begeleider van risotto en visgerechten. Optimaal drinkgenot: nu–2026.
