  • Rather dark yellow colour. Fragrances of flintstone, pineapple, lemon, basil, vanilla and egg. Pretty fresh style, well integrated oak flavours, gentle but strong concentration, appealing acid with lemon flavours, semi-sweet cream, various herbs and some apple aromas. Combination of a "more modern" strongly concentrated and mineral-rich Chardonnay. For a Bourgogne Blanc a very good treat.

very stinky nose. 'crotch' per evan. 'sauerkraut' per doug. some green pepper in there as well.
mouth - huge smoke flavor verging on unpleasant. On its behalf it does have some nice pit fruit flavors, however the primary smoke flavor overwhelms. Its as if someone added a little bit of hickory smoke sauce. Will revisit to see how it does with aeration

still stinky after several hours opened but has mellowed a little. I pegged this as being french. i'm curious how this would fare with a decade of cellaring

  • On the first night this was fantastic. Much richer and spicier than the last bottle with a hint of caramel on the nose and long finish. Fell off on the second night, losing a little richness, but still showed nice citrus flavor and a long finish.

  • Consumed this over a week. Very nice Bourgogne...nose is light and airy, with lots of citrus aromas. On the palate this at once full of flavors and light on its feet. Citrus flavors along with a touch of tropical fruit flavors gives it more complexity than its appellation would lead you to expect. Very, very enjoyable.

(Morey Pierre Bourgogne Blanc) A trace of sulfur dioxide on the nose, but in the mouth this is quite full-bodied and shows a well-judged balancing acidity. I like this very much
